2024 Week 2 Results
Can not believe we had another beautiful Tuesday for golf as it seems to be raining every other day.
Reminder: Quota will remain the same until week 4.
We had 10 players in the positive for their quotas and the scores ranged from +9 to -6. Let's take a look back at last week's winner Scott Silvia (+5) and the team of Eric Aronson(+2) and David Finnegan (+3) and see what a difference a week makes. Scott was +5 last week but this week he was a -5. That is a 10 stroke swing - ouch. Eric and David were also a +5 last week but David was not able to make it, however his sub was even which would have had them finish at +6 and in second place. Not Bad!!!
Individual Play - Richie White and Greoge Kelley finished their rounds in similar fashion. Greoge birdied hole 7 and 8 to finish his round at +7, but not to be out done Richie, birdied his last two holes and finished 2 points ahead of Greoge for the win.
Team Play - It is not always how good or bad you play but it is who you get paired up with. Wayne MusGrove did just enough to not pull Richie White and his +9 down too far. They finished in first with a +8 for the day. Unfortunately, you can not say the same for Greoge Kelley as his +7 got pulled down to a +4 by his partner, Ronnie, which left them in a three way tie at +4 with the team of Eric Aronson/Mark Daniels and Mike Silva/Paul Raynard. Just like last week Eric Aronson and his partner Mark Daniels came out on top of the card off on hole one for second place for this week.
Closest to the Pin: Steve Danieli threw a shot at the pin on hole 3 that landed 8’ 2” but unfortunately one streak ended and another one started as he missed the putt.
Front nine birdie pool: We had a total of five birdies on the front side and only two survived: Greoge Kelley on hole 7 and Richie White on hole 9. Hole 8 gave up the last three birdies (White, Kelly and M. Nolan)
Back nine birdie pool: Again all back nine birdies lived (surprisingly only one on hole 13 again): Joe Lagrasso (12), Dan Raymo (13), Chuck Mathieson (14) and Rich Walsh (15)
