I can not believe we had another beautiful Tuesday for golf as it seems to be raining every other day.  We have been lucky weather wise!

Reminder: Quota WILL change this week. Some people are going to be happy, other people are going to be sad and than you have Bob Loring who is always with one of his quota.

We had 14 players in the positive for their quotas; individual scores ranged from +6 to -7 as team scores ranged from +6 to -13.  Let's take a look back at last week's winner Richie White (+9) finished +1 this week, anything on the plus side is a good week. Mr White also picked up a few bucks with a birdie. As for last week's winning team of Richie White and Wayne Musgrove they went from +8 to -4.   As I said before, it's all about the draw.

Individual Play -  Pete Frasca and Eric Aronson both were +6 for the day but Pete held on for the win by taking Eric down on the first hole of the card-off.

Team Play - Bob Bourne had a great individual day with +5 but needed help to get into the winners circle from Dylan and his +2. They combined for a +7 and took first place. Coming in second was Joe LoGrasso and David Finnegan at +4. Again it comes down to the luck of the draw as +6s were shot out of the winners circle in team play.

Closest to the Pin: Mike Leanord walked away with the closest to the pin on  hole 4  with a shot of  13’ 6”. The  streak of missing the putt is up to two weeks.

Front nine birdie pool: We had a total of 8 birdies on the front side and all but three survived:  Rich Walsh on 1, Eric Aronson on 3, Everett Ellis on 6, Richie White on 8 again, Joe Lograsso on 9 all lived. Hole 2 was the only one canceled (Finn, Mathieson, McNiece)

Back nine birdie pool:  Just like the front nine we had 6 birdies and all survived except for 2 on hole 13 (Walsh & Lograsso). Dan Raymo on hole 12, Mike “I Love everyone” Silva on hole 14, Bob Loring on hole 15 and Mike Leonard on hole 18. All lived.

Can not believe we had another beautiful Tuesday for golf as it seems to be raining every other day.

Reminder: Quota will remain the same until week 4.

We had 10 players in the positive for their quotas and the scores ranged from +9 to -6.  Let's take a look back at last week's winner Scott Silvia (+5) and the team of  Eric Aronson(+2)  and David Finnegan (+3) and see what a difference a week makes. Scott was +5 last week but this week he was a -5. That is a 10 stroke swing - ouch. Eric and David were also a +5 last week but David was not able to make it, however his sub was even which would have had them finish at +6 and in second place. Not Bad!!!

Individual Play -  Richie  White and Greoge Kelley finished their rounds in similar fashion. Greoge birdied hole 7 and 8 to finish  his round at +7, but not to be out done Richie, birdied his last two holes and finished 2 points ahead of Greoge for the win.

Team Play - It is not always how good or bad you play but it is who you get paired up with. Wayne MusGrove did just enough to not pull Richie White and his +9 down too far. They finished in first with a +8 for the day. Unfortunately, you can not say the same for Greoge Kelley as his +7 got pulled down to a +4 by his partner, Ronnie, which left them in a three way tie at +4 with the team of Eric Aronson/Mark Daniels and Mike Silva/Paul Raynard. Just like last week Eric Aronson and his partner Mark Daniels came out on top of the card off on hole one  for second place for this week.

Closest to the Pin: Steve Danieli threw a shot at the pin on hole 3  that landed 8’ 2” but unfortunately one streak ended and another one started as he missed the putt.

Front nine birdie pool: We had a total of five birdies on the front side and only two survived:  Greoge Kelley  on hole 7 and Richie White on hole 9. Hole 8 gave up the last three birdies (White, Kelly and M. Nolan)

Back nine birdie pool: Again all back nine birdies lived (surprisingly only one on hole 13 again): Joe Lagrasso (12), Dan Raymo (13), Chuck Mathieson (14) and Rich Walsh (15)

Before we get into the WEEK 1  recap I would like to thank Mike Silva for putting the idea into my head  with starting the season a week early. Last year the week before our opening day was 70 degrees and beautiful and Mike texted me a few times saying today should be our opening day and boy he was right, weather again was absolutely perfect. I received money from 36 people out of 56 people. Don't forget if I don't receive payment by the third week you will be taken off the list and put on Santa's naughty list.

A few people have chosen to play the blue tee for the league this year and I want to make it clear the back nine birdie pool has nothing to do with the league so if you decide to play in the back nine pool you can switch tees to the combo tees at the turn if you choose to.

Quota will remain the same until week 4.

We had 9 players in the positive for their quotas and the scores ranged from +5 to -6.

Individual Play -  Scott Silvia posted a solid plus 5 for the day. He will be tested for performance enhancing drugs this week. There was a tie for second between Mike Leanard and John Tracy. Mike  took the honor over John by bogey-ing the second card off hole. Unfortunately for all three of them their partners had some rust to work out as they did not do so well in the team play.

Team Play - Eric Aronson(+2)  and David Finnegan (+3) combined for a plus 5 for the day and held on for first place in a card off against the team of Legends:  Larry “The Legend” Barry (+2) and Matt THE Urban Legend (+3).

Closest to the Pin: Chuck Mathieson came out and set the bar high for the closest to the pin distance at 1’ 9” and he made the putt to start the streak of 1 week.

Front nine birdie pool: We had a total of eleven birdies on the front side and only one survived:  Chuck Mathieson on hole 2. I don't recall the last time we had 10 birdies on the par 3 on the front nine: Hole 4 (Finn, Barry, Arnoson, Silvia & M.Nola) and Hole 6 (Barry, Leonard, White, Kelly & Finnegan)

Back nine birdie pool: We had four birdies on the backside and they all lived (surprisingly only one on par 3s): Chuck Mathieson (11), Everett Ellis (13), Steve Lozzi (15),Chuck Mathieson (16) and Ed Finn (18)
