2022 Week 14 Results
Before we get into our Week 14 Recap, the second half payment was due two weeks ago. We still have few unpaid league members. So if those members could take care of the fee this week that would be much appreciated. If you are writing a check please remember to make it out to Greg Paone, you can also Venmo me at @Greg-Paone-17 (last four digits of my phone # is 5557) and as always cash is welcome. Non members dues are $360 and members dues are $65. I will be emailing those people directly if I don't hear from them I will be forced to remove them from the list.
We had our lowest turn out 0f the year with 40 players but there were still plenty of fireworks. We had 13 players in the red, 6 players even and 21 players on the plus side. Mike Money Man McNeice had the high points for the week with 18. Right behind him was Steve Lozzi and Bob Bourne with 17 points.
Individual Play - We had two golfers who were plus 8 this week and the card off was all decided on the first hole. Rick Walsh doubled his quota points and won the card off on the first hole to take the win at +8 for the week. In second place we have Tom “Eagle EYE” Nolan who was also +8 all in one shot for the ninth fairway. Tom dunked his third shot on the ninth hole to make eagle and to post a +8 for the week. Don't feel too bad for him for losing the card off his partner carried him to the victory circle in team play.
Team Play - As mentioned before Tim Greene and his plus +2 carried Tom Nolan and his plus +8 to the winner circle since we all saw that it would take more than an eagle to get Tom Nolan in the winner circle. In second place Rick Walsh (+8)/Mike Nolan (E).
Closest to the Pin: Tom “Eagle EYE” Nolan had his greatest shot of his life when he dunk his third shot for the fairway on hole none for an Eagle and he got to write ZERO distance crushing everyone else's great shots into the green for closest to the pin.
It was another great week for birdies, with 10 birdies and 1 eagle. We had five holes survive: Bob Bourne on 5, Dan Raymo on 6, Tim Greene on 7, Mike McNiece 8 and Tom Nolan eagle on nine. Hole 3 birdies (Mathieson, White, Murphy, and Paone) and hole 9 birdies (McNiece and Murphy) were covered.
We had 22 players enter the back nine birdie pool with 11 birdies and only 2 surviving birdies. Mike Wall on hole 12 and Bob Bourne on 16. Hole 13 (C. Mathieson, Regan, Loring, McNiece, Paone, Dejesus and Haslem) and hole 18 (Loring and Bradley) were covered.
