2022 Week 10 Results
Before we get into our Week 10 Recap, we have officially reached the halfway point of the season. With the second half now here comes the second half payments. We had another nice turn out of 49 players this week and of the 49 players we had 28 players on the plus side of their quota. Mike “Money Man” McNiece had the high points for the week with 19. No was close to him that is why he is the money list leader at the halfway point.
Individual Play - We had four golfers this week shoot 5 over their quota Jim Shannon, Jim Liddick, Matt Urban and TJ. Jim Shannon took first by parring hole 1 in the card-off and TJ parred hole five to take second place. Other notable scores were Mark Nolan and Mike “Money Man” McNiece at plus 4.
Team Play - TJ (+5) and Mike “Money Man” McNiece (+4) for 9 over took first. Coming in two points behind for second place was Steve Lozzi (+4) and Greg Willard (+3) for 7 over.
Closest to the Pin: Mike “Money Man” McNiece put his approach to 9’4” 3 ft closer than Wayne Musgrove.
It was not a great week for birdies, with only 8 made by the 49 golfers. Of those 8 birdies only 2 survived : Steve Lozzi (2) and Mike “Money Man” McNiece (7). Hole 4 (Mathieson & Musgrove), hole 8 (Musgrove, Urban and Loring) and hole 9 (Shannon & M. Nolan) were covered.
We had 23 players enter the back nine birdie pool. We only had eight birdies but we had two eagles. Not sure what Chuck Mathieson shot on the back nine but I do know that he played 3 holes at -4 which no matter what way you slice it that is good golf. Hole 12 ( Mike “Money Man” McNiece), hole 14 (TJ) and hole 18 (Chuck Mathieson) all survived. Hole 13 gave up two eagles and two birdies (Mathieson & McNiece had the eagles and Doonan and White made birdies) and hole 16 gave up two birds to Wall and Mathieson.
