Holes 3, 13, & 18 were covered

Before we get into our Week 14 Recap, the second half payment was due two weeks ago. We still have few unpaid league members. So if those members could take care of the fee this week that would be much appreciated. If you are writing a check please remember to make it out to Greg Paone, you can also Venmo me at @Greg-Paone-17 (last four digits of my phone # is 5557) and as always cash is welcome. Non members dues are $360 and members dues are $65.  I will be emailing those people directly if I don't hear from them I will be forced to remove them from the list.

We had our lowest turn out 0f the year with 40 players but there were still plenty of fireworks. We had 13 players in the red, 6 players even and 21 players on the plus side. Mike Money Man McNeice  had the high points for the week with 18. Right behind him was Steve Lozzi and Bob Bourne with 17 points.

Individual Play -  We had two golfers who were plus 8 this week and the card off was all decided on the first hole. Rick Walsh doubled his quota points and won the card off on the first hole to take the win at +8 for the week. In second place we have Tom “Eagle EYE” Nolan who was also +8 all in one shot for the ninth fairway. Tom dunked his third shot on the ninth hole to make eagle and to post a +8 for the week. Don't feel too bad for him for losing the card off his partner carried him to the victory circle in team play.

Team Play - As mentioned before Tim Greene and his plus +2 carried Tom Nolan and his plus +8 to the winner circle since we all saw that it would take more than an eagle to get Tom Nolan in the winner circle.  In second place Rick Walsh (+8)/Mike Nolan (E).

Closest to the Pin:  Tom “Eagle  EYE” Nolan had his greatest shot of his life when he dunk his third shot for the fairway on hole none for an Eagle and he got to write ZERO distance crushing everyone else's great shots into the green for closest to the pin.

It was another great week for birdies, with 10 birdies and 1 eagle. We had five holes  survive: Bob Bourne on 5, Dan Raymo on 6, Tim Greene on 7, Mike McNiece 8 and Tom Nolan eagle on nine. Hole 3 birdies (Mathieson, White, Murphy, and Paone) and hole  9 birdies (McNiece and Murphy) were covered.

We had 22 players enter the back nine birdie pool with 11 birdies and only 2 surviving birdies. Mike  Wall on hole 12  and Bob Bourne on 16. Hole 13 (C. Mathieson, Regan, Loring, McNiece, Paone, Dejesus and Haslem) and hole 18 (Loring and Bradley) were covered.

Before we get into our Week 13 Recap, the second half payment was due two weeks ago. We still have few unpaid league members. So if those members could take care of the fee this week that would be much appreciated. I would hate to have to send out Mr. Leg Break (pictured below). If you are writing a check please remember to make it out to Greg Paone, you can also Venmo me at @Greg-Paone-17 (last four digits of my phone # is 5557) and as always cash is welcome. Non members dues are $360 and members dues are $65.

We had another nice  turn out 0f 45 players. We had 8 players in the red, 14 players even and 23 players on the plus side. Mike "Money Man" McNiece  had the high points for the week with 20. Right behind him was Mike Silva with 19 points, Chuck Mathieson with 18 points and Bob Loring with 17 points. This is the second week in a row Bob Loring has been plus 6 or better.

Individual Play -  We had a trio of golfers who were plus 6 this week and the card off was all decided on the first hole. Bob Loring parred hole one to take this week's honor, Mike Bradley bogeyed hole one to take second and Mike Silvia double bogeyed hole. Don't feel too bad for him, his name will be mentioned again and again during this write up.

Team Play - Mike Silvia (+6) and his partner Bob Bourne (+4)  took first place this week. There were two groups finishing one stroke off the lead: Bob Loring(+6)/ Chuck Mathieson (+3) and Mike Bradley (+6)/Dow (+3). Bob and Chuck won the card off on hole 7 with two pars.

Closest to the Pin:  Greg Willard  had a beautiful shot into the green and stuck it 7’11” to take the CP. FYI it must have been a tough pin to get to because no one birdied the hole.

It was another great week for birdies, with 12 birdies being made and  4 survived: Mike McNiece birdied 4 and 6, Mike Silvia birdied 7 and Andrew Dugan birdied 9.    Hole 2 ( M.Silva and Babyak), hole 3 (Haslam and Walsh) and hole 5 (Doonan, Mathieson, Bourne and Paone) were covered.

We had 24 players enter the back nine birdie pool with 10 birdies and 5 surviving birdies. Saul Payne birdied 10 and 14, Mike Silvia birdied hole 16, Mike Bradley hole 17 and Bob Loring hole 18. Hole 12 (McNiece, M. Nolan) and hole 13 (C. Mathieson, Danieli, and Finn)  were covered.

Holes 13 was covered

Before we get into our Week 12 Recap, the second half has begun so don't forget to pay for it. If you are writing a check please remember to make it out to Greg Paone, you can also Venmo me at @Greg-Paone-17 (last four digits of my phone # is 5557) and as always cash is welcome. Non members dues are $360 and members dues are $65.

We had another nice  turn out 0f 46 players. We had 13 players in the red, 8 players even and 25 players on the plus side. Will Aronson, Bobby Bourne and Bobby Loring had the high points for the week with 18. Dylan Amaral put up 17 points thanks to the 9th hole.

Individual Play -  I know we all do it by coming to the ninth hole and saying to ourselves “Okay, if I eagle the is hole I will make up for all my mistakes” well that is what Dylan did to turn his decent round into a round of his life. With that eagle on 9 Dylan jumped over Bill Aronson for first place this week with plus 10. Speaking of Will Aronson he needed a birdie on 9 to tie Dylan but unfortunately came up short; he still posted an outstanding plus 8 for the week. Bob Loring also had a solid week with a plus 7.

Team Play - Dylan Amaral did not need any help to take first in team play this week. He just needs a partner who does not struggle this week which he got from TJ and his -1. They combine for a +9. Coming in second was Greg Willard and Ronnie Duff who shared the load evenly with +4 each for a combined total of +8. Loring/Corwin and Greene/Aronson also had good weeks at +7.

Closest to the Pin:  Bill Doonan had a beautiful shot into the green and stuck it 14’9” to take the CP

It was a great week for birdies, with 13 birdies being made but only one birdie and an eagle survived: Mike Silvia birdied Hole  2 and Dylan Armaral eagled Hole 9.  Hole 2 (Lozzi, Walsh and DeJesus), Hole 5 (Bourne and Aronson) and Hole 8 (Loring, Barry, Murphy, DeJesus and Haslam) were covered.

We had 26 players enter the back nine birdie pool with 7 birdies and 3 surviving birdies. Jim Shannon birdied hole 12 and 18 while Mark Nolan birdied 16.  Once again hole 13 was covered by Doonan, Barrym, McNiece and Silvia.
