Sorry for the delay school vacation, hanging out with the kids.

NEW Quota this week!!! Make sure to look and sign in at the Pro Shop

Not sure if anyone else will notice but only the name changed this week as most of the winning scores stayed the same as last week.

Individual Play -  Steve Leonard  put together a beautiful round on Tuesday by posting a +6 for the day. Coming in second  was Rich Walsh  at +4.  He was able to take second away from Mark Nolan in the card-off on hole 1.

Team Play - Steve Leonard and Chuck Mathieson took first in a card off over Mark Nolan and Ed Susi on hole 1.

Closest to the Pin: Steve Leonard hit a good shot into hole 4 to 11’3’’ but unfortunately could not keep the streak alive.

Front nine birdie pool: We had a total of six birdies on the front side and four of them survived: hole 4 (Ed Finn) and hole 6 (Joe Lograsso), hole 8 (Rick Walsh) and Hole 9 (Greg Paone). Hole 3 (S. Leonard and G.Willard) was covered.

Back nine birdie pool: We had 2 birdies on the back side and all were on hole 13 (Lograsso and Lozze) which there will be a carry over.

I really thought we were going to make it through the whole day with no weather issue but at 5: 30 the rain came in and brought hail with it.   Again, I want to remind everyone this is a blue/combo tee league with a few players playing from the white tees. Quota will change after week 3.  As a whole we showed a small improvement from last week as a whole.. Scores ranged from -7 to +6

As of today I have received 45 out of 65 players payment. If the first half of the payment is not made by week three you will be removed from the list for week 4, unless you have spoken to me.

What a week for NEWCOMERS(NC)...especially

Charlie Russo

Individual Play -  Charlie Russo put together a beautiful round on Tuesday by posting a +6 for the day. Coming in second  was John Casey at +4.  He was able to take second away  from Paul McDermott in the card-off on   hole 1.

Team Play - John Casey was not able to hang with Charlie in individual play, so he was lucky to be teamed up with Dan Raymon and his +2. They still needed a card off to take down Charlie and Steve Danieli.

Closest to the Pin: Charlie Russo hit a beautiful shot into hole 3 and more importantly made his putt to keep the streak alive at two weeks.

Front nine birdie pool: We had a total of four birdies on the front side (must be playing long with the wet condition) with two of them surviving: hole 3 (Charlie Russo) and hole 5 (Daniels). Hole 9 (Sully and Casey) was covered.

Back nine birdie pool: We had 7 birdies on the back side with three of them surviving: hole 11 & 15 (Ed Susi), hole 15 (Dan Svirsky) and hole 17 (Chuck Mathieson). With no eagle on hole 13 by Joe this week hole 13 was covered by 4 people with birdies: Lograsso,Bradley, Susi and Mathieson.

I promise I looked at the weather report and it did not call for snow; then it snowed again today. Winter is not going down without a fight. Just want to remind everyone this is a blue/combo tee league with a few players playing from the white tees. Quota will change after week 3. Even with the snow we had a nice turn out for week 1 with over forty players having played.  As a whole we have a lot of rust to brush off from the winter. Scores ranged from -8 to +3

If the first half of the payment is not made by week three you will be removed from the list, unless you have spoken to me.

Individual Play -  Mike Burke came out swinging with a +3 for week 1 but newcomer to the league Charlie Russo went blow for blow with him and also posted a +3. Mike was able to capture week 1 individual play in the card-off on hole 1.

Team Play - Another newcomer to the league Ed Susi is already throwing his weight around by teaming up with Mike Leonard to take down all comers in team play at +3. Mike Burke and Rick Neil also came in +3 but lost on hole 7 in the card-off.

Closest to the Pin: Joe Lagrosso stuck his shot closest to the pin at a distance of 7’6” and he made the putt so the streak is at one week.

Front nine birdie pool: We had a total of seven birdies on the front side with two of them surviving: hole 2 (Joe Lagrosso) and hole 3 (Rick Walsh). and Hole 4 (Raymo, Svirsky and Russo) and hole 8 (Murphy and Sully:how long was the chip in?) were covered.

Back nine birdie pool: We had only 2 birdies and 1 eagle on the back side. Hole 13 (Joe Lagrasso’s eagle) and  Hole 14 (Ed Susi) both survived. Raymo had the only birdie on hole 13 but was not good enough this week
