Before we get into this recap  I would like to let everyone know that one out of four alternates showed up this week and that gentleman & his -4 single handedly took down 17 teams this week by himself.

We are officially past the halfway point of the season and second half  payments were due by WEEK 11  (members - $85 and non members $370) 

THERE WILL BE NO LEAGUE THE TUESDAY DURING JULY 4th WEEK  But if you want to play you just need to make a tee time and pay your green fees.

Reminder: Quota WILL be changing  from week to week so please make sure to check each week at the starter’s table. Yes Everett that includes you and your +15 over the last two weeks 

Individual Play - Everett kept rolling this week with a +7 and took Greoge Kelley and his +7 down on the first hole of the card off.  

Team Play - George Kelley did not win the individual but he was paired up with me to take down Everett and Richie White. We were +12 and they were +10

Closest to the Pin:  Mike Bradley  had a great shot into hole 4 to take the CTP at 2’.  Even better news is that Mike Bradley ended the streak and started a new streak. 

Front nine birdie pool: We had a total of 9 birdies and 3 of them survived: hole 4 (Mike Bradley), hole 5 (Greg Paone) and hole 9 (Mike Leonard). Hole 2  (Kelley&Liddick) and  hole 3 ( Ellis, Richie and Mike Nolan ) were covered.  

Back nine birdie pool: We had a total of 9 birdies on the back nine pool and 2 of them survived: hole 10 (Aronson) and hole 15 (Pete Frasca). Hole 13 (Lograsso, White, McNiece and Mark Nolan) and hole 18  (Leonard, Mathieson & McNiece) were  covered.

Okay it might have been too nice of a day on Tuesday as the temperature kept on rising but that is 11 weeks in a row of good weather. We are officially past the halfway point of the season and second half  payments were due by WEEK 11  (members - $85 and non members $370) Please don't make me send out the leg breakers and remove you from the list of good standing.

We had 27  players in the positive for their quotas; individual scores ranged from +8 to -5  as team scores ranged from +16 to –6.  Let's take a look back at last week's winners, Ed Finn who won individual with a +5 last week and finished this week at +1, still on the positive side. Last week's winning team of Mike Silva and Ned Babyak was +7  to finish the week at +1.

Individual Play -  What a shoot out we had this week between Wayne and Everett. Both players finished at +8 for the day and I heard Everett could have been +12 if he made his eagle putt on 9. Wayne Musgrove took first by parring hole 1. Nice shooting! 

Team Play - Every now and then the perfect storm hits and the 1st and 2nd place individual players get paired to run away with the team match and that is what happened this week. Wayne Musgrove and Everett Ellis post a +16 for the week. That was 7 strokes better than the second place team of Mike Bradley and Steve Lozzi at +9.

Closest to the Pin:  Scott Corwin had a great shot into hole 3 to take the CTP at 2’10”.  Bad news is that our streak of not making the put is at 7 weeks. 

Front nine birdie pool: We had a total of 12 birdies and 3 of them survived: hole 2 (Wayne Musgrove), hole 4 (Vijay Popat) and hole 6 (Ed Finn). Hole 8  (Bradley & Lograsso) and hole 9 ( White, Sully, Ellis, G. Willard, Tiger Wood, Mathieson, Finn and Kelley) were covered.  

Back nine birdie pool: We had a total of 5 birdies on the back nine pool and 3 of them survived: hole 10 (Joe Lograsso), hole 13 (Greoge Kelley) and hole 17 (Scott Silvia). Hole 18 (Leonard & Murphy) was  covered.

We had 24  players in the positive for their quotas; individual scores ranged from +5 to -7  as team scores ranged from +7 to –6.  Let's take a look back at last week's winners, Chris Sullivan who won individual at +7 last week and finished this week at E for a 7 shot swing. Last week's winning team of Bob Loring did not play this week but his sub was E  and Ned Babyak was +2  to finish the week at +2.

Individual Play -  Ed Finn has been rolling lately as this is his second time winning out of 3 weeks. He claimed first place by birdie on hole 5 and taking down Mike Silva in the card-off. Mike will get the last laugh as the luck of the draw was on his side this week.  

Team Play - Mike Silva (+5) could not win individually so he called in reinforcements,  Ned Babyak and his +2 was enough to get Mike over the top. This is also back to back weeks that Ned has been part of the winning team. Coming in second was Greg Willard (+4) and Tom Nolan (+1). Again it was  not an easy road for the second place team. They had to outlast Finn/Murray and Raymo/Raynand in a card-off. 

Closest to the Pin:  Good news is we had a closest to the pin winner of 8’10” by Kevin Giffen. Bad news is that our streak of not making the put is at 6 weeks. 

Front nine birdie pool: We had a total of 6 birdies and 3 of them survived: hole 5 (Ed Finn), hole 3(Richie White third time this year he has won money by birdieing hole 8) and hole 9 (Steve Lozzi). Hole 3  (M.Silva, Bourne & Dow) was covered.  

Back nine birdie pool: We had a total of 9 birdies on the back nine pool and two of them survived: hole 15 (Chuck Mathieson) and hole 18 (Joe Lagrasso). Hole 10 (Lograsso & L.Silva), hole 13 (Kelly, Ma Nolan & Barry) and hole 16 (Sully & Aronson) were covered.
